  • Please mail your letter to the Secretary of National Defense using your official letterhead and containing as much details about the event as possible to the following address:

How can I invite employees of the Department to attend a training/seminar?
  • The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Human Resource evaluates and handles proposals for training and development of Department employees. Please refer to our office directory for the contact information of the said office.
Where should I send my request to interview the Secretary of National Defense for my media organization?
Please email your interview request letter to the Public Affairs Service, along with an endorsement from your media organization.
How do I follow up on my previous invitation/proposal?
Kindly check our office directory for the contact details of the office or official which your invitation or proposal was addressed to. You may also request assistance from the Public Affairs Service if you are unsure of the status of your concern.

What should I do if I have a service / product that I wish to introduce to the Department of National Defense?

ROTC and Reservist concerns

Where can I obtain my Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) serial number?
  • The educational institution where you undertook / are undertaking your ROTC training should provide you with your serial number. If, for some reason, your educational institution is unable to provide you with the serial number, you may directly inquire with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (OJ9).

  • If you would like to complain about a perceived misconduct of a member of the AFP, please lodge your concern with the Office of the Provost Marshall General of the AFP.

Veterans' and retirees' concerns

How can I obtain my Military Service Record?
  • If you are a pensioner, go to the Veterans Record Management Division (VRMD) of the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) or the PVAO Field Service Extension Offices, and present the following requirements:

  • Request from from VRMD
  • Photocopy of two (2) valid ID's.
  • Authorization letter, if the record-holder will be represented by another person
 
  • If you are not a pensioner:

  • Please proceed to the Non-Current Records Division, Office of the Adjutant General (NRD-OTAG) at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Headquarters; or
  • Please prepare a written request to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Roxas Blvd, Pasay City; or
  • Prepare a written request to the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC), 1 Archives Dr, St. Louis, Missouri 63138 U.S.A.

 

How can I claim non-pension benefits as a veteran, such as educational and medical assistance?
  • The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) evaluates and processes non-pension claims for veterans and their qualified dependents. For the processing of educational benefits, billing and availment of the Veterans Hospitalization Program (VHP), PVAO may be reached through the following:

General concerns

How can I conduct research on a subject concerning the DND?
Please email your request letter to the Public Affairs Service, with as much detail about your research as possible. If you have a specific data or document you want to know more about, you may also opt to lodge a Freedom of Information request through the eFOI Portal.
How can I report a crime?
Generally, law and order concerns are under the purview of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Kindly report your concern to your nearest police station or visit the official PNP website for more information.
